Description
Tranzit was licensed as a non-banking financial institution in Albania in 2010. Since then Tranzit has provided debt financing to companies and individuals, as well as non performing debt purchase and one stop shop servicing of debt collection to local banks, financial institutions, and telecom companies. In 2013, Tranzit successfully completed the first secondary market transaction in Albania, purchasing a large portfolio of consumer and small business loans from the largest bank in the country. Through similar transactions, Tranzit has begun to create a liquid secondary market for the local banking system previously unavailable. Today, Tranzit is a fully integrated debt financing, debt purchase and debt servicing platform, with state of the art technology and thousands of customers in Albania. Leveraging NCH's years of experience providing capital to companies and entrepreneurs in various industries across the region, Tranzit's objective is to become the leading regional provider of flexible financing options. In 2015, Tranzit acquired the Albania subsidiary of Credit Agricole, now named American Bank of Investments. Subsequently, in February 2018, American Bank of Investments entered into a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Banka NBG Albania Sh.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of National Bank of Greece S.A.
